Students prepare for RRSIMUN

Royal Russell school students attended two different conferences this weekend helping their students to prepare for our annual conference.  Four students attended the third Christ’s Hospital Security Council two day conference. This very intensive two day rolling news conference proved a real challenge to all the students who took part and it was very pleasing that Sam and Georgia won Highly Commended awards and Bart won the Outstanding delegate at the conference. Meanwhile twenty pupils attended the MUN conference at Reigate Grammar School. With our more experienced pupils attending a conference at Christ’s Hospital School, this was an opportunity for the newer delegates, many of them attending their first MUN conference, to experience the cut and thrust of debate with some 250 pupils from schools across the south east. All thoroughly enjoyed the experience and did excellently well in the debates.  Particular mention goes to Badshah who won the outstanding delegate award in the Security Council, Georgia who as well as getting her resolution passed in the General Assembly won an outstanding delegate award and Callum who won a highly commended award for his work in committee. Very well done to all our delegates.
