26 Royal Russell students attended the 5th annual Benenden conference on Monday 10th December 2012. Royal Russell represented 6 delegations and in total 20 schools provided over 70 delegations at the one day conference. Royal Russell students had an excellent day and their success at the conference was perhaps best seen in the General Assembly when 4of the first 5 students to take the floor were Oleg, Michele, Georgia and Badshah. Tiggy, Barty, Sam, Georgia and Kaitlin all won an Outstanding Delegate award – a fantastic achievement since each committee awards only two outstanding delegates each. The delegation of Germany also won one of the 2 prestigious Outstanding Delegation awards.
Seven Royal Russell Media students also attended the conference to make a short film on behalf of Benenden. In one day they managed to film and edit a 5 minute film which can be seen here on our MUN website.
